GOP presidential debates set for December in Iowa (AP)

DES MOINES, Iowa ? Two more debates among the Republican presidential candidates have been scheduled in Iowa in December, just weeks before the state's leadoff caucuses.

Fox News, with the Iowa Republican Party, has set Dec. 15 for its debate, to be held in Sioux City at the Sioux City Convention Center. Fox hosted a debate at Iowa State University in August, ahead of the Iowa Republican straw poll on the Ames campus.

The Des Moines Register has set Dec. 19 for its debate at Iowa Public Television's studios in Johnston. Its co-sponsors are IPTV, PBS Newshour, Google and YouTube. Senior Newshour correspondent Judy Woodruff will moderate the 90-minute event.

Neither Fox nor the Register is saying which of the candidates has accepted invitations to participate. The Iowa caucuses are scheduled for Jan. 3.
